Bellamy Young

Young began her professional career in the field of acting the theatre. While playing Mary in the original cast, Young made her Broadway premiere in the role of Mary on Broadway in 1997. She appeared Off Broadway for Stephen Sondheim's musical Merrily we to Roll along (1994) and Randy Newman's Faust, (1995-1996). In 1995, she made her television debut as a regular in"The Other World," an NBC daytime soap opera Another World as Dr. Courtney Evans. Between 1997 and 1998,, she guest-starred in Law & Order, playing two different roles. She made her debut in 1999 with a role in Black and White, a crime-drama. In the following years, she was a co-star on several independent films. From the mid-2000s onwards, she began guest-starring parts on various television dramas and comedies, like The Drew Carey Show, The X Files, ER, Frasier, The West Wing, NCIS, Medium, Grey's Anatomy, Private Practice, Two and a Half Men, Supernatural, Drop Dead Diva, and Castle. From 2000 until the year 2011, Young had more than 30 guest appearances on television shows. Young was the main cast member of the USA Network series Peacemakers in 2003. Following nine episodes of the season, the show was cancelled. She had recurring roles in the Lifetime legal drama series For the People as Deputy Dist. Atty. Agnes Hunt, NBC's Scrubs, as the character Dr. Grace Miller, NBC's Scrubs with Monica West (CSI: Miami, 2005-06) in ABC's Dirty Sexy Money, as Ellen Darling (the eldest in-law daughter of the Darlings) and CBS's CSI: Miami, as Monica West (assistant state attorney).
