Niykee's personal highlights include being hand-picked to join Snoop in the YouTube Brandcast, in May 2013 and composing songs in spite of the chaos of the past few years. She is now a magnet for aspiring producers she constantly combs through beats she receives and discovers that a lot of them result in sparking ideas for songs. In just five seconds, I know what a song is or not. After that, I have an idea of the song and write it right away. The words come to me while I'm sitting on my patio, playing my guitar. Most of the time, it's less than thirty minutes. Niykee's memories of pain provide endless sources of ideas. "Even when I don't write about my life directly it is the loss of my sister as well as my difficult childhood experiences are integrated into my music," she says. This shapes my music and gives it a deeper sense of meaning that I believe is crucial. I would like to be able to hear my music in the next 20 years and still feel proud about my words.
